Another great challenge from Watercooler Wednesday

This week Heidi Weaver has created a CAS (clean and simple) challenge which is all about Spring.  A lot of people find this type of card very difficult.  What is clean and simple?  According to the challenges which host only CAS (clean and simple), this is what one aims to do:  CAS (acronym for "clean and simple":  A design of card with clean lines, minimal elements, areas of white space and few or no embellishments, most often single layered or minimal layers.

Do all those coloured squares in the challenge picture mean anything?  Nope!  They're just there to dress up the picture a bit.   Just so we're clear on the "white space".

My card uses Wild Wasabi as my "white space".  I used the Wild Wasabi reinker and water on watercolour paper to make the background for this card.  It is layered on Mossy Meadows card stock.

The stamp set is from Gina K Designs and is called Handmade Botanicals.  A friend sent me this stamp set and I made this card to send as a Thank You.  The sentiment on the inside is from a retired stamp set call Lexicon of Love.

This week on the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge - it's a color challenge and I know everyone loves those.  This week Kath Ricks has put together four gorgeous colours with which we can create some wonderful projects.

Colour challenges force one to use just the colours in the challenge, plus a neutral which is "free".  It's not always easy to stay within the palette, but that's why we have challenges---to force ourselves to work outside our comfortable "boxes".

This week I combined the four colours from the challenge with different embossing folders.  I used the flower stamp from Fabulous Florets and the sentiment from Party Pants.

This week on Watercooler Wednesday Challenge is "WWC61Anything Goes"

WooHoo!  It's time for another "Anything Goes" challenge.

What is Anything Goes?  It is simply a project which you have created and wish to share.  There are no restrictions or rules.  That's what this week's challenge is all about.  Enjoy sharing your wonderful creations.

This weekend we travelled to Banff, Alberta for a wedding and I and including the wedding card I made in this weeks WWC61 - Anything Goes.

I used the Elizabeth Craft Designs Heart Pivot Card die cut for the hearts and the Stampin Up Adorning Accents edgelits and Textured Impressions embossing folder for the edges of the card. I used two different retired embossing folders for the bride side and the groom side.  Whisper White is the base with Brushed Silver and shimmery card stock.  Pearls for the bride and square sequin for the groom buttons.

I had fun making the card and hope the bride and groom enjoyed this design.
